Jayapura, 16/6 (Jubi) – Unidentified people opened fire on a car driven by Tarsan Sinaga on the road of TransJayapura – Keerom at around 21.00 on Saturday.
“From the investigation, the car appeared to have been hit by airgun. The back right side of the car dented and the paint peeled,” Papua police spokesman commissioner Sulistyo Pudjo said via a short message on Sunday night (15/6).
He said the shooting occurred at mile nine, right in front of the Forestry post in Abepura when the victim and his family were on their way to Arso, Keerom.
“The victim heard gunshots from the right side and saw three people on the right road. At around 21:07, the victim arrived at Police Station (PJR) in Muara Tami and reported the incident. At the time, police were conducting raids on motor vehicles,” he said.
Meanwhile, the victim said, after he heard the shot, he could see the shadows of three people but the view was not clear,
“I just saw a shadow that might be the perpetrator, because I was in the dark.” he said on Sunday evening(15/6). (Jubi / Arjuna/ Tina)
