Jayapura, Jubi – A letter allegedly from Papua Governor  Lukas Enembe  to the rector of Cenderawasih University (Uncen) dated November 25, 2014 was believed to be fake.

The university is investigating and vowed to take legal action against anyone found to have sent the fake letter, First deputy rector, Onisimus Sahuleka, said.

The letter is believed to be fake because previously, the governor had sent a letter to the rector regarding to return the former dean of the medical Faculty, Paulina Watopa, to the government of Papua province.

“We do not object to the request as all related decisions would go through senate meeting. Only there is another letter sent and signed by the governor. In his letter, he instructed rector to install her again,” Sahuleka said after meeting at Papua Legislative Council on Monday afternoon (01/19/2015).

According to him, if the letter numbered 02 / PPP / YR / 2014 was found to be false, the university would take legal action.

Currently, all academic activities at the Faculty of Medicine at Uncen and hospital in Dok II Jayapura is the responsibility of acting dean Yohanes Krey.
“The rector will meet the governor for clarification, “he said.

While acting dean of Medical Faculty Yohanis Krey said, he tried to fix all the problems that exist in the faculty only it was hampered by  this case.
“From my notes, there are 45 cases need to be solved. These are all related to one another including conflict that against to the laws and legislation. However, I cannot explain them in detail, “Krey said. (Arjuna Pademme/ TN)
