Jayapura, 21/3 (Jubi) – The Election Commission of Jayapura City has received 756 of ballot boxes under standard quality sent by the Central KPU to replace the missing boxes.
The Commissioner of Program Planning, Financial and Logistic of KPU Jayapura City, Tjipto Wibowo said he regretted the Central KPU to send those underwaterproof boxes. I have reported to the Central KPU about it,” Wibowo told to tabloidjubi.com on Friday (21/3).
However, KPU would still use those boxes in the election of 9 April by putting those carton boxes in the closest polling station with a saving aluminium box. The Chairman of Panwaslu of Jayapura City, Hilda C Nahusona said even thought it look the same but the quality was different, she worried it will create some problems, for example if it’s exposed by water.
