
Police was closed the gambling site (Jubi)
Jayapura, 20/7 (Jubi) – Papua Police finally discovered the firearm belong to the late Brigadier Police Asriadi that missing during the dispute following the police’s act to terminate the illegal gambling in Youteva traditional market.
“New assigned Papua Police Chief, the Brigadier General Police Yotje Mende said the firearm has been brought to Jayapura City Police Office on Friday (18/7).
“This was happening due to the officers’ hard work on the ground. The members of the Jayapura Police Special Team has successfully arrested two suspected persons who were been in front of Bank BRI Koya on Friday afternoon (18/7) at around 15:10 Papua time,” the Chief said on Saturday (19/7).
According to him, two suspected persons admitted to hear the information about the missing firearm and the police’s murder occurred in Youteva market on 2 July from someone called MS during the interrogation. At first they said not knowing about the firearm was, but then admitted getting the information it was stored in Abepura Gunung.
Based on their information, the special team went for searching and investigating MT who was cultivating at Jl. Lele, Koya Timur, Muara Tami Sub-district.
“At around 17:30 Papua time, the special team members blocked the entrance toward his plantation area to arrest him soon in his way returning home at around 18:10 Papua time,” he said.
Earlier, the Brigadier Asriadi was killed when dispersing the illegal gambling in the Youteva Market on 2 July, while his colleague, the Brigadier Samson Huda whom also got stabbed is survived. (Jubi/Arjuna/rom)
