Jayapura, 13/01 (Jubi) – The Head of the Papua Provincial Tourism Office, initials CHR, this afternoon was interrogated as the suspect in a corruption case on the construction of Cartens Guest House in District of Mimika with a value of more and less 3 billion rupiah.
The Assistant of Special Crimes of High Court of Province Papua, Nikolaus Kondomo, SH, confirmed to the reporters about the detention of the Head of the Papua Provincial Tourism Office related to his involvement with a corruption case on the construction of Cartens Guest House in District of Mimika with the amount almost 3 billions rupiah.
“The project value is almost 3 billion rupiah, but after the interrogation, it was found that the project was fictive while the money of 2,9 billions has been transferred to the account of partner. During the interrogation, his partner came, but he came late in the mid-day, so we will call him on Wednesday (15/01) to be interrogated as a suspect. This is the third call for the the Head of Tourism Office,” said Kondomo, Monday, (13/01).
Kondomo said that CHR would be arrested in the Prison Class 1A Abepura, Kota Jayapura. “Currently the investigation team has already determined him as the suspect and he would be put in the Prison Abepura.”
Meanwhile, CHR’s attorney, Yulianto, SH, when being confirmed said that his side would write a petition requesting the revealed that he would write a petition to request the change of detention status towards his client. However, since on Tuesday (14/01) is holiday, therefore he would be send it by Wednesday. “We will request a petition to see whether it will be granted or not by the Court Policy.
