Jayapura, 25/5 ( Jubi ) – A resident demanding compensation for sol from his land almost hit Jayapura Regent Matius Awoitauw with an arrow on Friday (23/5).
The incident happened when Awoitaw visited Khalkote Beach, Asei Village, Sentani Timur Sub-district to monitor preparations for the Sentani Lake Festival (FDS) scheduled for June.

“Sorry, I can’t provide any information. Yesterday, many reporters were at the scene, but they did not expose the story,” he said.
When declined to say whether the regent prohibited the publication of the story. He also declined to say whether the perpetrator was arrested or released. But, a witness said the police did not arrest the perpetrator.
