Jayapura, Jubi / – The West Papua Provincial Government donated a piece of land measuring 20.5 hectares to be the location for the headquarters of the West Papua provincial police in Manokwari.
West Papua Police chief Brig Paul Waterpauw, last week, in Jayapura, thanked the provincial government for the assistance.
In celebration of its 69th Anniversary Bhayangkara held on Wednesday night, in Manokwari Brig Paul Waterpauw gave his appreciation by handing an award to West Papua Governor Abraham Oktovianus Ataruri for cooperation related to the gift of land.
He also gave to the representatives of Arfak tribe, Meidodga who had released their customary land to West Papua provincial government in this case to West Papua Police.
He said it will be build the headquarters of police and also various facilities such as hospitals and forensic labs, dormitory and sports facilities. The construction itself is planned in 2016, said Brig Waterpauw. (*)
