Jayapura, 20/6 (Jubi) – Papua Election Commission (KPU) has begun to execute logistic distribution of up coming Presidential Election (Election), July 9 to a number of regencies since Wednesday (18/6).
The Commission chairman, Adam Arisoi said, the two regencies are Yapen Island regency, and Waropen regency. According to him, all the logistics have been received by Election Commission and are now in the storage warehouse in Entrop, Jayapura.
“Tomorrow, we will re-distribute to a number of regencies Nabire, Paniai, Dogiai, Deiyai, Intan Jaya, Timika, Asmat, Puncak, Merauke, and Boven Digoel by air and sea transportation,” he said.
“To anticipate the delays in shipping logistics to Yahukimo, Supiori, and Islands Mappia regencies, we have communicated with the regional commander and Papua police chief,” he added.
Separately, head of Papua Public Relations, Commissioner (Pol) Sulistyo Pudjo said, the police have to escort the distribution to the area. (Jubi / Arjuna/ Tina)
