Polling station 9, Kalisusu Village, Nabire Regency Papua – Jubi

Nabire, Jubi – Polling station 9, Kalisusu Village, Nabire Regency Papua applied the ‘noken’ system in the voting process.

According to Vote Committee Chief (KPPS) of Polling Station 9, Yenis Murib, local residents have agreed to elect number 4 candidate. “All witnesses from candidates number 1 to number 8 (without witness of candidate number 3) have agreed,” Yenis Murib told Jubi at Polling Station 9 of Kalisusu Village on Wednesday (9/12/2015).

In the same place, the Chairman of Nabire Regional General Election Commission Petrus Rumere said the acclamation or ‘noken’ system in local term is bot allowed because it does not comply with regulation. “If local residents agreed to elect one of eight candidates, they still should come to vote, instead of using the arrangement system,” Rumere revealed to Jubi.

He added therefore the Polling Station 9 of Kalisusu Village must redo the election. “It is to avoid the problem in the future, eventually the problem with legal issue,” he said.
