Prosecutors had demanded a 15-year prison for Sitorus
“LS was sentenced to two years and the Papua Prosecutors’ office directly appealed to the High Court . Now this case is in the authority of the High Court. The sentence is far below our request of 15 years,” Hutagalung said on Monday evening (2/17).
He called the verdict strange.
“The evidence including seven vessels containing fuel and 7.000 types Merbau logs were returned to the PT. Rotua which is owned by LS, even though illegal logging and illegal fuel smuggling are proven,” Maruli wondered
