Merauke, Jubi (28/5)- The Merauke Police have submitted the dossiers on six Papua New Guinea citizens linked to the alleged smuggling of sea cucumbers and bubble fish to the local Customs Office for further investigation.

“The evidence including nine sacks of sea cucumbers and two sacks of bubble fish are still in the Merauke police,” First Inspector Agus Suswanto told tabloidjubi.com on Wednesday (28/5).

He said the Merauke Customs Office is currently awaiting Civil Servant and Customs Investigators (PPNS) from Ambon.
“We have worked with the Customs Office and soon the evidence would be handed over,” he said.

He said the police had fully handed over the handling of the case to the PPNS.

So far he said the police have not named any suspects.
“Yes, the investigators will examine the files to conclude whether any suspects will be determined or not,” he said. (Jubi/Frans L Kobun/rom)
