Police showed nine sacks of sea cucumbers and two sacks of bubble fish (jubi)

Merauke, Jubi (21/5) – Merauke Police chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sri Satyatama said police had not named Mister Lau Bean and Papua New Guinea citizens as suspects in the alleged attempt to smuggle nine sacks of sea cucumbers and two sacks of bubble fish.

He said police were still questioning Lau Bean and the PNG citizens.
“We are also waiting for the arrival of the head Customs and Excise for more a detail discussion. Until now, the available evidence is still being kept in Merauke Police,” he said.

Separately, Criminal Police Merauke, Superintendent of the (Pol) Agus Siswanto added that until now, it has not met the head of Customs and Excise yet because she is still outside the area.
