Wamena, Jubi – The Papua Baptist Churches Communion (PGGBP) held a conference Tuesday (28/4/2015) in Wamena to address recent faith, economic and political friction as well as to prepare spiritual skills.
Representing the regent, Lanny Jaya Regional Secretary Christian Sohilait, opened the conference scheduled be held from 28 April-1 May and was attended by the PGGBP churches community.
Committee chairman EV. Habel Yigibalom said the conference is aimed to formulate a strategy to conquest new souls as well as to prepare personnel ready to serve God’s mission.
In addition, it is also to improve and optimize the potencies of missionaries to have high commitment in the service as their guidance to recognize their selves as precious persons before God.
“Through this activity, it is expected the participants could become the evangelists and proclaim God’s good news to the remote areas for conquering souls for God by executing Jesus’ great commission, teaching and baptizing every human in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holly Spirit to become the children of God,” he said. In addition, it also could produce a credible and good output in the service of God, which based on Jesus’ confession cited in Mathew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holly Spirit”.
On the other hand, the Lanny Jaya Regional Secretary Christian Sohilait in his speech asked the participants to properly attend the conference because it is a crucial moment to continue the mission of Jesus to save human beings. (Islami/rom)
