Jayapura, 4/3 (Jubi) – Regional military commander Major General Christian Zebua has urged all sections of society to work together for peaceful elections scheduled for April 9.
“The safety and security conditions would be created because all parties want to contribute on it. I hoped the cooperation of all parties in order to succeed the Election on 9 April 2014,” Zebua, chief of the garrison XVII Cenderawasih told a gathering of soldiers’ families on Tuesday (4/3).
He said military families can contribute by helping create safe safe conditions.
He also urged religious leaders to communicate positively to promote peace.
“Today’s event is a regular one and is not intended to discuss political issues,” he said.
