Jayapura, 16/1 (Jubi) – In fiscal year 2014, the Provincial Government of Papua would not approve the procurement of the office vehicles for the provincial offices. Furthermore, all provincial programs that usually implemented in the district/Municipality level will be removed (or abolished).
“We will discard any proposal of vehicles purchasing from all provincial offices except from the Transportation Office who will procure 10 units of buses for Persipura, the Hospital Dok II and VVIP. We will also remove the provincial programs that usually implemented in district/municipality level. Thus, for this fiscal year, we would not purchase the office vehicles, except for the Transportation Office who will procure some vehicles for Persipura, Hospital Dok II and VVIP,” said Lukas Enembe, the Governor of Papua, in Kota Jayapura, Papua, Thursday (16/1).
The Governor’s decision for not purchase the office vehicles for the Provincial Offices because of now the number of office vehicles in the Provincial Offices are sufficient, so no need to purchase a new one. Indeed, those Offices were responsible to maintain their office vehicles.
“Currently the existing office vehicles are sufficient, because the Regional Government Budget (APBD) for fiscal year 2014 will be focused to the community. This current APBD will be stand for the community. The deletion of office vehicle purchasing is a good start,” he said. Meanwhile, the Head of Papua Provincial Transportation Office, Yambe Yabdi Joseph, explained that the purchased of buses for current year were the procurement of 10 units buses, each for Persipura, Hospital Dok II and VVIP.
“10 unit buses would be distributed to Persipura 1 unit, and Hospital Dok II Jayapura 2 units. After RKA was determined, then at the time of hand over the DPA, we will consult with Persipura about the type of bus that will be given to Persipura,” said Yusuf. (Jubi/Alex)
