Major General Hinsa Siburian Named New Military Commander in Papua

Jayapura, Jubi – Major General Hinsa Siburian has been appointed as the new commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih garrison.

As reported SATUHARAPAN.COM on Wednesday (19/08/2015), Siburian replaced Major General Fransen G Siahaan, who will serve as Assistant Operations to the TNI Commander.

TNI chief Gen. Gatot Nurmanto said the mutation of 52 military officers – 35 officers of the army, 11 officers of the Navy, the Air Force six officers was to optimize the tasks of TNI which are now very dynamic and increasingly challenging.

While, in a press release of Pendam XVII / Cenderawasih received by Jubi on Thursday evening (20/08/2015), stated that in a farewell event at Silas Papare field, Makodam XVII / Cenderawasih, Major General TNI Fransen G Siahaan asked all soldiers to be more discipline, solidity and compactness.
“The National Security Forces (TNI) must always be with the people and protect the people. TNI without people is nothing. TNI will be stronger if together with people, “he said.

On that occasion, He thanked to all soldiers and civil servants in Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih for the achievements that they have achieved.
“I ask all soldiers to not hesitate to communicate with me even though I do not served as Commander again,” said Fransen.
