Jayapura, Jubi – Governor Lukas Enembe compared actions by Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) with the National Committee of West Papua (KNPB). He considered KNPB is way better than FPI. Because KNPB has taught better democracy for the people of Papua.
“KNPB is better than FPI in exercising democracy. This FPI should have been prevented for the first time. Why people pursue KNPB, whereas they teach good democracy over this radical Muslim group,” said Governor Enembe.
KNPB, according to Governor Enembe conveyed his political aspirations in an elegant way, unlike FPI that impose their will in a way that is not dignified.
The recent sprawl of radical Muslim groups according to Papua Governor Lukas Enembe has been very worrying. Papua should be more vigilant to anticipate the influx of these groups.
Enembe warn if the FPI, a radical Muslim group, would really control Indonesia state it is possible that Papua will be separated itself from the country.
“If this group forces it interest for Indonesia to become a Muslim country by running the Islamic Shari’a, then we will be separated, especially since this group wants to abolish Pancasila and NKRI,” Governor Enembe told reporters at the State Building on Friday (June 2).
Therefore, said Governor Enembe, the Provincial Government of Papua strongly supports the policy of President and Vice President of Indonesia Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla. According to him, their approach today is the best for the nation and country.
“We have expressed our full support for them, even for the next presidential period, although the Muslim group wants to bring down Jokowi we continue to support his policy,” said Governor Enembe.
Meanwhile, to maintain the integrity of the Land of Papua, he asked the people for not be hooked with any issues by certain interest’s elements. Moreover, he continues, there is a possibility that TNI and Police infiltrated hardliner groups.
“There is possibility that TNI and Polri are infiltrated by hard-line groups, so we should not be provoked by the situation, as happened some time ago in Jayapura,” he added.
In his remain term of governance Lukas Enembe wants to keep Papua conducive and bring the government into completion.
“Thus I ask all the people of Papua to support in prayer so we can complete these tasks and responsibilities,” he said.
He added that all Papuans must prevent the similar incident happen again in Papua. “Papua has been opned by Gospel, no other group opened this country, therefore I ask for any group should not disturb Papua,” he added.
