Jayapura, 21/2 (Jubi) – Two – year sentence in prison for illegal logging and fuel smuggling was considered as a magical verdict.

Chairman of the Supervisory Judge and the Judicial Investigation Commission, Suparman Marzuki, argued, two- year sentence in prison is far below persecutors’ request of 15 years.
He called this verdict ” magical”

According to him, this verdict was called “magical” because firstly, the investigation / inquiry of the case was weak; secondly, the charges were blurred and the last, the judge’s decision was “free fall”.

“Our team has gone down to investigate the magical decision. We’ll find out what is behind of the decision. If later there are findings, we will send to the prosecutors commission. Also, if there are findings in the police, we will send to the police, “he said.
