Jakarta, Jubi / – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) formally arrested five suspects in a bribery case surrounding a micro hydro power projects (MHP) in Deiyai regency, Papua.
“Among the five suspects, four would be detained: Dewie, Rinelda, Setiadi, and Iranius. Meanwhile, Bambang is detained at the Guntur Detention, ” Head of Daily Executive of Public Relations of the commission, Yuyuk Andriyati, in Jakarta on Wednesday night (21/10/2015).
The five suspects are members of Commission VII of the House of Representatives of Hanura Party, Dewie Yasin Limpo, Dewie’s expert staff member, Bambang Wahyu Hadi, and her secretary Rinelda Bandaso, who allegedly accepted bribes to ‘smooth out’ the development of power projects in Papua.
Another suspect was head of Mining and Energy of Papua, Iranius, and a businessman Setiadi, who allegedly gave bribes to Rinelda to be delivered to Dewie.
Dewie, member of Commission VII overseeing energy, mineral resources, research and technology, and the environment is considered capable of launching the inclusion of projects in Papua in the 2016 budget.
After arrested in Kelapa Gading and Soekarno Hatta Airport, five of them then were examined for 21 hours and named as a suspect by the KPK on Wednesday (21/10/2015) at 16.00 WIB and on Thursday morning (22/10) at 0:57 am, they left KPK building.
Previously, the Commission conducted Operation Capture Hand (OTT) to the members of Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR) RI of Hanura Party, Dewi Yasin Limpo on Tuesday (20/10/2015).
The commission also secured seven people, including three who were sent home because it is not proven to be involved in this bribery case.
In OTT conducted in Kelapa Gading and Sekarno Hatta International Airport, there was evidence seized by KPK such as 177, 700 Singapore dollars, some documents and mobile phones. (*)
