Jayapura, 11/1 (Jubi) – West Papua National Committee (KNPB) says they are ready to lead several actions in order to welcome the delegation of Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) to Papua on 13 January.

“We are ready to welcome them. We are still leading both national and international actions,” said Agus Kosay, First Chairman of West Papuan National Committee to the reporters in Expo Waena, Jayapura, Papua (11/1).

Therefore, he urged the Indonesian Security Forces to open the democratic space for the people of Papua, in particularly people who live in the Land of Papua. “If there is violation of the law, we will process legally,” said.

If a violation of the law was proved, further Agus said, the West Papuan National Committee will never backward. “We are ready to accept the consequences of the struggle,” he said.

The West Papuan National Committee is ready with all consequences of their struggle, but the problem is, according to Tonny Kobak, a member of The West Papuan National Committee, the Police always put a stamp of terrorist and separatist groups on the West Papuan National Committee. “The Wanted List, dead shooting on the spot is the problem. Because of it, we cannot prove the violation of the law,” said Kobak.

Meanwhile, related to the planning of the member countries of MSG to visit Papua, the party who claimed themselves as the Federal Police of West Papua Republic, through their leader, Elias Ayakeding, said that they will deploy 1000 personnel in order to secure the visit of MSG’s delegation on Monday, (13/1).

“We will deploy 1000 personnel using the opened and closed security system,” said Elias Ayakeding, who claimed as the Chief of Police of NRFPB, to the reporters in Dewan Adat Papua Office, Expo, Waena, Kota Jayapura, Papua.

The preparation of security has already done since last December. “We are ready to secure and to welcome the visit,” he said.

To the people of Papua, who want to welcome the delegation, Ayakeding said, please welcome them pacifically and come together to take care of the safety and security. “People do not being affected with the irresponsible issues, should not be anarchist. Do not carry sharp tools and should not come in an alcohol-influenced,” he continued. (Jubi/Mawel/P. Maizier)
