KNPB’s flag – Jubi
Yogyakarta, Jubi – Central West Papua National Committee (KNPB) performed communal worship at KNPB Secretariat, Waena, Heram Sub-district, Jayapura Municipal on Tuesday (1/9/2015) at 11:00 – 14:20 Papua time to declare support on Pacific Island Forum that would be held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, 7 – 11 September 2015.
Through email to Jubi on Tuesday (1/9/2015), Central KNPB spokesperson Bazoka Logo said the event would be centered at Central KNPB Secretariat, Kampung Vietnam, Perumnas III Waena and supported by Central KNPB, KNPB Numbay and KNPB Sentani Region.
Through this event, KNPB declared several points, namely Free West Papua to Save Pacific Islanders from Colonialism and Capitalism, Free West Papua to Save Pacific Islanders from Global Warming, Pacific Islander, We Need Your Help from Global Warming, Pacific Islanders We Need Your Help from Genocide and Urge un and to Give Advisory Opinion on Political Statue of West Papua.
Meanwhile, Central KNPB First Chairman Agus Kossay said Papuan people should give support on PIF meeting because people in Pacific countries are keeping give their supports to the people of Papua.
“Support from people in Pacific was proven with the status of ULMWP as observer at MSG Conference at Honiara on 26 June 2015. Now, the issue of West Papua becomes an agenda in PIF,” he said. Further he said KNPB with Papuan people fully support the Pacific Islands Forum leaders meeting, and expected these leaders could appoint the investigation team and endorse West Papua issue to UN.
