Jayapura, 21/2 (Jubi) – Community at Kemtuk Sub-district, Jayapura Regency have encountered some infrastructure problems to support the local development.
Sub-district Chief, Lenora Berney told to tabloidjubi.com on Friday (20/2) though the sub-district government of Kemtuk has prepared the annual development planning program but it was not well implemented.
“We have implemented the villages and sub-district development program gradually, however we found some constraints such as the construction of road and bridges and water supplies,” she said.
According to her, she often confirmed this condition to the local government but so far there is no response. While, she further said, six of twelve villages of Kemtuk Sub-district have no transportation access. The road’s villages of Aib, Sabiak Besar, Sabiak Kecil, Sepri, Kwaim and Proko could not be traveled easily because it’s damaged.
“Three big bridges –Waring, Daro and Bunali—that connected the sub-district main road were broken. We hoped the last visit of legislator from DPR Papua’s Commission A could give credits to the transformation of sub-district development because the roads and bridges are the mainstream to strengthen the economy of local community,” she said.
Deputy Chairman of DPR Papua’s Commission A, Yanni said the commission has noted the community’s complaint and will be discussed this issued with other members of DPR Papua. “We tried to encouraged the aspiration of people. But we are not the executor, we could only accommodate their aspiration,” she said. (Jubi/Arjuna/rom)
