Jayapura, Jubi – The Health Chief of Jayapura, Dolarina De Breving, said there have been no case of ebola in Jayapura, Papua province.
“Until now there have been no reports about ebola entering Papua,” Breving told the Jubi on Wednesday (5/11).
Amid the proliferation of ebola in several countries in Africa, and the fact that many residents travel abroad, Jayapura City Health Department in collaboration with the Port Health Office (KKP) Jayapura is monitoring entrancy points to Jayapura.
“We have been working with KKP. Last month we checked each haj pilgrimage returning from the Holy Land and all were healthy, no indication of illness, including ebola or Mers,” she explained.
Tempo.com reported that an Indonesian man suspected to have contracted Ebola has been treated in Madiun. Chief Medical Officer of Mediun, The man has since been declared free of ebola. (Sindung Sukoco/ Tina)
