

Muridan’s friends held a reflection to commemorate the seven days of the passing away of Dr. Muridan Satrio Widjojo (Jubi)
Jayapura, 14/3 (Jubi) – A reflection to commemorate the seven days of the passing away of Dr. Muridan Satrio Widjojo was held in Jayapura by the Peaceful Papua Networking (Jaringan Damai Papua) under theme “We’ve Learned from You’.
“We have two other sessions to run on 4 April which is coincided with Muridan’s birthday. This occasion would be a sharing of our experiences during being with him,” a JDP’s member, Latifah Anum Siregar told to tabloidjubi.com on Friday (14/3) in Jayapura, Papua. According to her, Muridan might be just like the other when he was born in 1967, but on 4 April 2014, people could see what he have done for Papua.
While she said the JDP Jakarta will organize a commemoration day to honor him. About twenty people would be asked to write notes about him, which would be recorded and launched at the 40th days anniversary of his death. She added it is not just memorizing him, but more to reviewing his ideas during his life. What he has been thinking while he was sick was dialog, JDP and some friends who actively involved in the campaign for a dialog.
“It means that it has became his subconscious thought. So the dialog must be part of our heart, thought and spirit,” Siregar said.
Similar with Siregar, the Coordinator of JDP, Pater Neles Tebay said Muridan was a person who consistently struggles for Papua with sincere.
“Because he was not looking for money or anything else or even a political position. He didn’t beg for a recognition on what he has done,” Pater Tebay told to tabloidjubi.com on Friday (14/3) in Padangbulan, Jayapura.
