Wamena, 14/5 (Jubi) – Wamena Persecutors’ office has named a former head of the Religious Affairs Department in Yahukimo as a suspect in a corruption case related to vehicle rental operations and the official residence.
Chief of Wamena State Prosecutors, Dian Frits Nalle said investigators have found evidence of corruption by the former official identified as DR. He further said that it has prepared an audit request letter to the Finance and Development Comptroller ( BPKP).
“This investigation will not take long because it is very simple and we’ve got very strong evidence, both letters and documents,” he said.
So far, Wamena persecutors have examined 11 people, including the treasurer and staffers at the department. State losses are estimated at Rp 1 billion. (Jubi / Islami/Tina)
