23 Governors of Indonesia undergo military training in Natuna Island took picture with President Joko Widodo – hangtuahnews.co.id
Manokwari, Jubi – Governor Dominggus Mandacan and Deputy Governor of West Papua Mohammad Lakotani undergo military training in Natuna Islands, Batam.
He explained that President Joko Widodo invited all governors and deputy governors for the meeting in Natura Islands, Batam.
From 17-18 of May all governors gathered at Halim Perdana Kusumuh Airport Jakarta to depart to the Natuna Islands using aircraft belonging to the Air Force.
“We are together with the governors from other regions that would follow the activities of training which conducted by TNI,” he said.
According to him, during they stay in Natuna Islands, President with TNI ranks were invited to go around the island. A number of TNI special equioments such as warships, submarines and helicopters would be deployed to support such activities.
During the training, participants wear a striped outfit like TNI. “The committee has asked for the size of our clothes, including pants and shoes that we will wear later,” he said.
He mentioned, in the event there would be military attractions conducted by members of the TNI. The governors would be given opportunity to participate in shooting practice.
“At the end of the new event we would follow the training that would be done directly by Mr. President,” he said while jokingly hoping to get a red baret. (*)
