Jayapura, Jubi – Papua Governor Lukas Enembe urged all parties to support the implementation of the 2016 International Conference of Biodiversity and Creative Economy (ICBE) to be held on Wednesday (7/9/2016).
“ICBE already started this week, so we seek the supports from all stakeholders,” said Enembe in Jayapura on Tuesday (6/9/2016).
According to him, guests would attend ICBE 2016 from the neighboring countries; so all stakeholders must participate of achievement considering this is the international scale event. “I hope you can adapt and take a part in the ICBE,” he said.
Concerning to the implementation, said Enembe, it could not only to support the implementation of the conference, but also to be able to maintain the security along the conference as well. “We have been given the opportunity to hold an international scale event, so I expect all stakeholders to get together for the success of the event,” said Enembe.
Earlier, the Civil Service Police Unit of Papua Province claimed for readiness to secure the implementation of ICBE 2016, which would be held on 7 to 10 September in Jayapura. The Head of the Civil Police Unit of Papua Province, Alex Korwa, in Tuesday (30/8/2016) in Jayapura told his unit would restrict the liquors’ distribution and sale during the conference.
“Trading and Industry Office will issue the circular to all liquors retailers warned them to not allowed selling the liquors from 5 to 12 September. There would be a sanction for those who not pay attention to the restriction. We will raid, if caught their license could be revoked,” he said.
The conference would be held in three places, namely Sasana Krida of Governor Office, Cenderawasih Sport Center and Otonom Kotaraja Office. “I was just appointed as security coordinator, so I have to take some actions in the term of security,” he said. (*/rom).
