Governor of Papua Province, Lukas Enembe (Jubi)
Jayapura, 7/4 (Jubi) – Towards the first anniversary of his leadership, the Governor Lukas Enembe asked mayor and regents as well as heads of governmental departments and offices in Province Papua to collaborate in Papua development.
“It has been a year since I and Klemen Tinal took our seat in Papua, but we have not yet done a work that was sensed and affected the people. Therefore I asked all leaders in Papua to be united to develop Papua, at least to help people out of the poverty, ignorance, backwardness, and isolation. I hoped the department heads were able to solve the problems what have been encountered by the Papuan people today,” the Governor Lukas Enembe told in Jayapura on Monday (7/4).
Within their first year, the Governor Lukas Enembe and the Vice Governor Klemen Tinal acknowledged to be more highlighted to several acts of reconciliation, consolidation and regulation governance as well as to enlist the problems occurred in Papua.
“We have done all of it and it would be part of our journey together. In the next year there should be a better communication between all stakeholders. Because we would further continue our journey and keep our togetherness to get a better achievement for Papua,” he said.
“We also should be careful to get out of the situation we are saying the Special Autonomy has been failed and it has become the part of the public information. So if the Special Autonomy was regarded as a failure, the question is who did it? Yes, it’s us, Papuans. Because the Governor, Major, Regents, Legislators, they are all Papuans. It’s true we cannot blame anyone else because we, Papuans are the leaders,” he said.
Furthermore, for what he have been done together with the vice governor, he hoped there is no expression of failure but there would be a little change, success and progress everywhere.
“The point is what we are going do in the future is to closely touching the heart of people and we can see our success at the end of our journey in 2018. Pray for us, for the Papuans leaders for we can do and finish our task and duty properly,” he said. (Jubi / Alex/rom)
