Sentani, Jubi – Most educators only transfer theoretical knowledge and forget to develop students’ character, an activist said.

“Many educators forget their duties and functions at schools. Besides that the lack of availability of supporting infrastructure and facilities in every school is hampering progress ,” an education activist, Ronnylando Kopeuw, said in Jayapura last week.

He said even though the previous educational system is far different fromthe current one, it used to focus on knowledge and skills related to all aspects of life.
“With the hope that in the future the students will be able to apply in daily life,“ he added.

On National Education Day in 2015, he said the government should be more reflective.
