Jayapura, 9/7 (Jubi) – Disappointed with the admissions process for the junior high level, dozens of parents came to the Education and Teaching Department office on Monday afternoon to demand an explanation (7/7).
“It is strange, my kid was not accepted even though he is in SMP 5 Junior High School region Jayapura,” said Dominggus, one of the parents on Monday (7/7).
He came to ask for clarity related to the requirements, and hopes that in the future the admissions process will accommodate local students.
“How could be a child who are from Dok V accepted at SMP 5 ( Junior High School) in Jayapura? it should not be allowed to,” Domi said briefly.
Meanwhile, one of the parents, who declined to be named, bribery may be involved in the admission. “It must be a conspiracy in the committee. Kotaraja luar is closer than dok VII,” he said.
Head of Education and Teaching Department in Jayapura, Robert J Betaubun explained that the quota of primary school students in the city of Jayapura is ready to be accommodated by all secondary schools in the city of Jayapura.
