Lukas Enembe, Governor of Papua – Jubi
Jayapura, Jubi – Papua Governor Lukas Enembe called on law enforcement agencies not to make Papua as a place to manage rumors or create vulnerabilities.
“I hope the entire law enforcement agencies in Papua work well. Papua is not different with other regions in Indonesia; it should not be a place of rumors and vulnerabilities. It certainly couldn’t,” Lukas Enembe told press on Monday (6/7/2015).
Enember affirmed Papua must be the same like other provinces that have calm, peaceful and serene atmosphere in doing development. “Papua shouldn’t be a place to create rumors, get positions and so on,” he added.
According to him, in Paniai, people are not longer living in the forest. Everyone knows whether the incident was a scenario or whatever. So do not bother using such ways as reason, because people knew the accusing will always said to unknown persons, Military or Police.
“The accusing always pointed to these three groups. So it would better not using any such reasons to protect the sovereignty and stability because it would give impact to internal issue that was currently happened,” Enembe said.
To respond that issue, Enembe said no need to blame anyone if something’s happened because we create it by our own.
“Yesterday I saw the soldiers who supplied the firearms and get sentence. I thought they are Papuans; the fact is they are all coming from outside of Papua. So we can not judge anyone, because the internal issue was happened because we took a wrong way during working in Papua, and so on,” he said. (Alexander Loen/rom)
