Jayapura, Jubi – The budget construction of facilities this year’s National Games PON XX is approximately Rp240 billion, including Rp 101 billion for the main stadium, said the head of Department of Public Works of Papua, Mikael Kambuaya.

“The main stadium will be built in Koya but has not been approved by the governor as the it has just been submitted and will be discussed. Yet clearly the funds that we have prepared for it is Rp.101 billion, “Mikael Kambuaya told reporters in Jayapura, Papua last week.

He further said, although it has not been yet approved by the governor, the government has checked the region in Koya and ensured that the area was not the protected or conservative area and was feasible to build the main stadium.
“We have also been coordinating with the mayor and the city government,” he said.

Regarding the status of the location, considering that most of the area is densely populated and there is also a house of worship in Harapan village, Jayapura regency, will be discussing with the head of General Affairs and Finance Agency in the near future.
“The two candidate places have been submitted to the governor to choose which one should be used for the construction of the main stadium, “Kambuaya said.

In addition, the Sports Hall (GOR), the budget allocated is about 20 billion. “It also requires Rp.22 billion for a permanent area for design and advanced development of Mandala Stadium,” he added.
