Literature performance in front of Sud District Military Command (Koramils) 03 in Wakeitei (Jubi)
Deiyai, 1/3 (Jubi) – State high school, SMA Negeri 2 Tigi held a literature performance in front of Sub District Military Command (Koramil) 03 in Wakeitei, Deiyai regency, Papua on Friday (28/2).
Chairman of the working committee, Agustina, said the purpose of this event is to preserve the literature and hone the imagination and intellect of students in developing their interests and talents through writing.
“By doing this performance, the students would have spirit and motivation to develop a their own literary work through poetry, editorial, theater and other works,” said Indonesian language contract teacher.
Parents were invited to see the performance and hopefully after seeing it, they will actively support their children’s interests and talents. “We performed in an open field so that parents could see their performance,” she said.
The principle of SMA 2 Tigi, Matthew Sapan, said that this is the first exhibition performed by teachers and students in Deiyai.
“Many programs can be developed such as speech contest, writing competition, etc, ” Sapan aded.
He hoped, the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports will make more programs that can develop students’ talents and creativity.
He also gave his appreciation to the Koramil 03, that allowed students to use their space.
“The military also got involved,” he said.
Based on tabloidjubi.com’s observation, there were also traditional dancing and traditional customs fashion show besides literature performance.
