Sorong, 18/5 (Jubi) – The recognition of Labora Sitorus as the eldest child of the Fakdawer family as well part as the thirteen child of Bernard Fakdawer was celebrated at the Bernard Fakdawer residence, Sorong on Saturday (17/5).

The procession was customarily held by the big Family of Fakdawaer and Other Biak family in Raja Ampat such as Mambrasar, Urbinaru, Major, Yapen, Mambraku and Hengki Korwa as Head of Biak tribe in Raja Ampat Sorong. This ceremony began with a traditional procession.

Sitorus was paraded to his residence and a representative of Batak family handed Cain Ulos To Fakdawaer family by signing a statement by their respective chiefs.

Sitorus, his wife and four children officially became part of the Fakdawer clan and used the Fakdawer family name.
“I am very proud to be a Papuan, especially from Biak and I’ve waited for long time, ” he said (17/5).

In addition, Sitorus said that despite her status as a convict, it was not an obstacle for the Fakdawer family.
“They do not look at the status of prisoners, but they are very supportive and help me in dealing with issues,” he said.
