Timika , 12/5 ( Jubi ) – The construction of the Mimika Sport Complex (MSC ) which was started by PT Freeport Indonesia last year has reached 15.5 percent .
Special Projects Manager Techincal Services of PT Freeport Indonesia , Deny Hudijana confirmed that the project has gone well.
“So far, the construction has been running smoothly according to the plan , ” he said on Monday.
He explained that it is still at an early stage of development which is focused on building the foundation first.
“The workers are still focused on foundation dormitory such as for cake and pile foundation, and even for indoor, ” he explained.
He said people do not need cakes and piles because foundation construction will be proritized to the track. So, later society can immediately use it for sports activities such as jogging, relay and so on and it will complete in 2016.
“As many as 160 workers are for this project and hopefully this costruction will finish on time , ” he said .
In September 2013, the Governor of Papua , Lukas Enembe placed the first stone construction projects as a center MSC sports facilities in Papua and be prepared for PON XX 2020.
Previously, the construction project used 25 million U.S. dollars on the land of approximately 25,5 acres and will take for 18 months . This was stated by the President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia (Freeport ), Rozik B. Soetjipto. The project will consist of an indoor field athletic and dormitories , as well as other training places .
The project will involve four large companies , two companies of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs ) and two national contractors . (Jubi / Eveerth / Tina)
