The competition will begin from May to Septermber, Competition Director of Football Association of Indonesia ( PSSI ) in Papua, Rocky Bebana, said.

Four of the teams are Persimi Sarmi, Persido Dogiay,Persintan Intan Jaya and Putra Nabire.
“The competition will be divided into four zones ie Merauke, Nabire, Jayapura and Wamena zones. The games will have home and away system, however we asked the Indonesia League Board to give an exception because of geographical factors and will cost plenty of money. On the other side, PSSI secretary general Djoko Papua Driyono hopes that Papua zone will apply the same mechanism, ” Bebena said on Thursday (24/4 ).

“For example, a team from Jayapura will play in Yahukimo. One player will have to spend Rp. 15 million because they have to catch a flight from Jayapura to Wamena and from Wamena to Yahukimo , ” he added.
