Jayapura, 16/4 (Jubi) – About 20 legislative candidates visit the Mental Hospital (RSJ) of Abepura since last week’s legislative elections, the hospital director said.
“These patients are still in the category of severe stress and have no mental disorders, ” Director of the Psychiatric Hospital in Abepura, Samo Adi, said on Wednesday (16/4).
He said the patients need long term recovery and treatment and most of them are in a state of mental decline.
“Poor them, their mental health is declining because of high levels of stress. Most of the candidates would be difficult to cure, although their illness is not classified psychosis,” he said.
One Jayapura residents , Michel Paribek, was surprised by the news and that candidates should have been prepared to lose.
“Perhaps they have spent so much money on campaigning,” Paribek told tabloidjubi.com.
“How could people choose those candidates if they do not know them. The public does not know who they are and what they have done so far,” he said. (Jubi / Arjuna/ Tina)
